We posted our Summer Bucket List last week complete with a ton of activities to keep you busy in BCS this summer. If you missed it, make sure you check it out here. Since then we have been busy trying to cross things off our list (and we’re sticking with the easy stuff right now).
This week we’ve managed to tackle…
Playdates with friends
We started swim lessons with Ms. Jessica on Monday with three other friends. We are basically creating an every day playdate and creating pool monsters but they seem to be having a good time and are getting WORN out.
The Markey clan is headed out on their first road trip of the summer. We are filing this under “day trips” however this is no day trip. This is a day and a night trip but the twins are entertained by a little movie time and some fun games from Hunt & Host.
We’ve forgotten to document these occasions because well….they just aren’t that interesting. 🙂
We keep a few arts and crafts projects around the house in case the artsy bug bites the kids. They LOVE a good painting project aka make a mess project. We hit up the dollar or $3 section at the front of Target on a regular basis looking for coloring or painting projects.
Occasionally we spring for stuff at Hobby Lobby…
Ignore this one’s Christmas jammies and focus on the fact that she’s painting a cat mask. 🙂
If you want to order some crafts for the kids, Oriental Trading has good crafts for pretty cheap. We like these superhero masks.
So we are basically winning this summer thing, haha.
I promise we will try to tackle some of the more exciting things next week!
In other news, we’ve linked up with another awesome local blogging mom, Holly, from While I’m Waiting. You guys should check out her blog and follow her “Summer of Service.” Each week will have a different theme, kicking it off with “family.” #bethelight
