Have you guys heard about the Mardi Gras party happening in Downtown Bryan? We certainly hadn’t until we did some research on what’s going on in February! So here are the details:
When: February 7th starting at 10am
Where: Downtown Bryan
What: Family fun and Mardi Gras themed activities
This event is a family friendly day full of Mardi Gras activities like face painting, food tasting, live music and a whole lot of fun. We have plans to dress our little ones up, maybe throw a boa or two on and head down to Main Street to see what kind of fun can be had! We love a good casual fun kind of day!
Must dos with kids: Crawfish races, face paint, art activity at Purple Turtle, Cajun food, and eat some King Cake.
Must dos without kids (party people!): Drink beer at Proudest Monkey, gather beads being tossed throughout downtown, check out the jazz concert in the evening, and lastly go for a romantic carriage ride (rides start around 2pm)
Be sure to be at the Palace Theater at 5 PM to participate in the parade which will be led by Greg Tivis and his N’Awlins Jazz Band. Samantha is probably most excited about this! Aside from her love of beignets, her favorite thing about NOLA is the music!
