We’ve been crossing things off our BCS Summer Bucket List left and right. We are totally kicking summer’s butt and taking names. I’ve been thinking that that’s really the only way we will survive summer. We’ve got to stay active and busy so we don’t lose our minds (“we” is me….).
Since our last update we’ve managed to…
We also pouted in the rain. She’s the only toddler I know that complains of it being cold when its 9o degrees outside. Like come on.
Then we hit up Bryan-College Station’s only bowling alley at Grand Station Entertainment. We actually signed up for their Kids Bowl Free summer program so the kids can bowl two games free each day. I’m determined to have champion bowlers by September.
I randomly stumbled on a S’mores recipe on either Pinterest and Facebook and knew I wanted to test it out with the kiddos. Regular s’mores can be messy and unmanageable for a 2 and 3 year old. Chocolate gushes out of the cracker and onto their hands and then they attempt to “clean” it themselves by licking their fingers which then leads to more chocolate oozing out and fall onto either their shirt, the floor or the table. Never a plate or napkin because that would make s’mores easy (and what fun is that?).
But I basically did just that. I made s’mores EASY in a FUN way. S’mores Cones.
Center Cut Cook posted an awesome recipe for Campfire Cones complete with really delicious looking photos so if you’re into that make sure you check her post out :).
Otherwise you may continue on to our less delicious imagery…
After crossing S’mores off our Bucket List we moved on to more active adventures like a trip to the lake with some sweet, sweet friends. While we were at LBJ we crossed off boating adventure, weekend trip, feeding the ducks/fish, and FIREWORKS…
Oh and naps in every spot of the boat. 🙂
We might even be able to add and then
cross off kanoeing 🙂
And if you remember our incessant posts on going red, white and BLUE with us at Blue Baker, we totally did it.
This is just some of our BCS Blogger’s BLUE crew…
We’ve also managed to swim every day but I figured you guys would be less interested in those photos over and over. 🙂
What are you guys doing this summer? Share your adventures with us and don’t forget to hashtag #BCSSummerBucketList with your photos!
